Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Web2App Ultimate (“we”, “us”) handles information across three contexts: the website at web2app.shop, the licensing and push service that supports the product, and Android apps you build and ship using the Web2App Ultimate template. By using this website or the service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Website (web2app.shop). When you browse the site we process standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — to keep the service secure and reliable. We do not run advertising trackers on the marketing site.
Licensing & activation. When an app built with Web2App Ultimate validates its purchase license, the service receives a non-personal device or install identifier and the license key so that an activation can be verified and counted. This lets us enforce the CodeCanyon license terms and prevent abuse. We do not collect names, email addresses or contact lists through this process.
Push notifications. If an app enables push, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) issues a device registration token. That token, together with basic delivery metadata (device model, OS version, app version), is used solely to deliver notifications you have opted into.
Owner accounts. If you hold an account in the owner console, we store the email address and hashed password you provide, plus the app configurations you create.
2. Data handled inside apps built with the template
Web2App Ultimate is a hybrid TWA + WebView shell around your website. Most data a user enters flows directly to the website you point the app at — we never see it. The native shell can, only when you enable the feature and the user grants permission, touch the following device capabilities:
- »Location — passed to your web content only when the page requests it and the user allows it. Not stored by the app shell.
- »Camera & files — used for user-initiated uploads from your web forms; files go to your website, not to us.
- »Downloads — handled by Android’s system download manager; files are saved to the device.
- »Advertising (Google AdMob) — apps built with the template can show Google AdMob banner and interstitial ads. When ads are active, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK processes the device Advertising ID and related signals to serve and measure ads, under Google’s advertising policies. You can disable ads in the app configuration; when disabled, no advertising ID is collected by the shell.
- »In-app review — uses the Google Play In-App Review API; no personal data is collected by the shell.
If you publish an app built with this template, Google Play requires you to provide your own privacy policy describing how your app and website handle user data. This document covers the Web2App Ultimate shell and its supporting infrastructure — not your website’s own data practices.
3. How we use information
- »To operate, secure and improve the website and the licensing/push service.
- »To verify purchase licenses and count activations as permitted by the CodeCanyon license you bought.
- »To deliver push notifications a user has opted into.
- »To provide support and respond to enquiries.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the licensing or push data for advertising.
4. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of providers that process data on our behalf, each under their own privacy terms:
- »Google Firebase (FCM) — push notification delivery.
- »Google Play services — in-app review and, if enabled, AdMob.
- »CodeCanyon / Envato — handles your purchase and checkout; we do not receive your payment details.
- »Our hosting provider — stores the data described above to run the service.
5. Data retention
We keep server logs and activation records only as long as needed to run and secure the service, then delete or anonymise them. Push tokens are removed when an app is uninstalled or unregisters. Owner-account data is kept while the account is active and deleted on request.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Children
The website and service are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
